However, the UMX3 is fully capable of supporting a wide range of powerful hardware. The spacious interior offers ample room for either a Mini-ITX or Micro-ATX motherboard, which can be paired with a large tower air cooler, thanks to the 163mm clearance. Furthermore, the UMX3 can support a wide range of graphics cards, as it features a GPU clearance of 320mm and four expansion slots. This case can facilitate up to four drives simultaneously, with three 2.5″ SSD mounts in the drive cage and a separate stand-alone mount that can be used for either a 3.5″ HDD or 2.5″ SSD. It should be noted that the drive cage can interfere with graphics cards that use more than two slots.

Alongside this, the UMX3 is equipped with a transparent acrylic side panel. As such, you’ll have an uninterrupted view inside the chassis, perfect for displaying your gaming hardware. Moreover, this panel offers easy access to the inside of the case, as it is secured in place by four thumb screws. Once these are removed, the panel can be lifted away, giving you full access to the main chamber of the case.

Cooling Simplified

The Jonsbo UMX3 masterfully utilises negative air pressure to ensure your components stay cool. This compact case features two locations to mount cooling fans. The top panel can facilitate a 140mm fan, while the rear panel has space for a single 120mm fan. Additionally, each of these locations can be utilised for installing a radiator, ideal for AIO cooling set-ups. What’s more, both mounting points come with a fan pre-installed out of the box. Both these fans are connected to an external fan controller on the back of the case, which offers three fan speeds to choose from.

By mounting exhaust fans in these two locations, air will be drawn through the base of the case, which boasts large ventilation holes and a wide air gap. This air will then be channelled over your gaming hardware, for effective cooling.
